In the context of Chitila’s adoption of a low-carbon public transportation system, we are proud to announce the start of construction on a new bus terminal and depot, dedicated to the recently acquired electric bus fleet by the municipality.
This project addresses the need to modernize public transportation infrastructure and offers a range of essential facilities for the efficient and sustainable operation of electric buses:
- Battery charging: The depot will be equipped with fast and slow charging stations for electric buses, ensuring full battery charging.
- Security: Buses will be protected overnight, benefiting from a video surveillance system and controlled access.
- Maintenance and service: A dedicated area for technical inspections, maintenance, and repairs will be created, optimized for quick and efficient service.
- Bus washing facility: The project includes a building dedicated to bus washing, equipped with modern wastewater collection and treatment systems.
- Operations and dispatch: Administrative offices and dispatch rooms will be integrated to efficiently manage routes and schedules.
