In the context of Chitila\u2019s adoption of a low-carbon public transportation system, we are proud to announce the start of construction on a new bus terminal and depot, dedicated to the recently acquired electric bus fleet by the municipality.<\/p>\n

This project addresses the need to modernize public transportation infrastructure and offers a range of essential facilities for the efficient and sustainable operation of electric buses:<\/p>\n

  • Battery charging<\/strong>: The depot will be equipped with fast and slow charging stations for electric buses, ensuring full battery charging.<\/li>\n
  • Security<\/strong>: Buses will be protected overnight, benefiting from a video surveillance system and controlled access.<\/li>\n
  • Maintenance and service<\/strong>: A dedicated area for technical inspections, maintenance, and repairs will be created, optimized for quick and efficient service.<\/li>\n
  • Bus washing facility<\/strong>: The project includes a building dedicated to bus washing, equipped with modern wastewater collection and treatment systems.<\/li>\n
  • Operations and dispatch<\/strong>: Administrative offices and dispatch rooms will be integrated to efficiently manage routes and schedules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    The depot will be located in Chitila, Ilfov County, on a 14,643 sqm plot that had significant slopes and required substantial earthworks to be prepared for construction.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    The proposed project includes the arrangement of the terminal premises with the following features:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Roadways and secondary paths<\/strong> for bus and staff vehicle access.<\/li>\n
    • Utility zones<\/strong> for fire-fighting systems, recycling tanks, and other technical equipment.<\/li>\n
    • Maintenance building<\/strong>: A constructed area of 571.5 sqm, providing space for parking and charging 4 buses.<\/li>\n
    • Administrative and dispatch building<\/strong>: An area of 531.58 sqm, including offices, reception, meeting rooms, locker rooms, and workshops.<\/li>\n
    • Washing facility<\/strong>: An area of 273.20 sqm, with two washing bays for buses and corresponding equipment.<\/li>\n
    • Outdoor charging area<\/strong>: 34 bays covered with metal canopies and 4 additional bays in the northern part of the plot.<\/li>\n
    • Video surveillance system<\/strong> and controlled access through a gate control cabin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The project covers a total area of 14,643 sqm, with 20% of the land dedicated to green space, and will include 18 parking spaces for cars and 39 spaces for buses.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
